Apologies on this taking so long to put up.

Do I pick up any ground on Andrew, or is the final nail pounded into my coffin? Find out below! (I’m back six games before the results of this week are tallied.)

Green is correctred is incorrect.

Thanks for reading.

NFL Week 10 Results: Makin’ Moves

Here is my master list of predictions on the 2013 NFL Seasonhere is Andrew’s master list.

Week 10 of the 2013 NFL season has ended and it appears that the playoff picture is starting to clear up, though the way the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts played this week do they really deserve to make the playoffs?

Yes of course those two teams deserve to make the playoffs if their records warrant it; that’s a stupid question, but it’s a question I saw frequently on message boards, forums, and reddit. If your record qualifies you for the playoffs, you deserve it because you won the games on your schedule. Nothing else to it, really. Whichever team actually decides to win the NFC East also deserves to be in because that team will have done what they have to do to get into the playoffs.

Fans are too emotional after losses, especially after a two game losing streak (Bengals). There are plenty of weeks left in the season to regroup and become the teams that they were earlier in the season. My message to fans (not including fans of JAX, OAK, TB, HOU, ATL, BUF, PIT, and MIN): relax, we have plenty of football to go and your team likely has a semi chance to make the playoffs.

Now let’s see if I can gain any traction on Andrew, but my gut feeling says I didn’t gain any ground – like usual.

Remember green is correct; red is incorrect. Purple is a tie (there were no ties this week, just making sure you are paying attention.)

Wow! We both called the Jacksonville Jaguars winning this week, though I am almost certain each of us predicted the Jaguars to win a game or two earlier in the year as well. And I did gain ground for once this week! Woohoo! Still I am seven games back, but gaining two games will help tremendously in this stretch run.

NFL Week 8 Results: Are Things Starting To Look Up?

Here is my master list of predictions on the 2013 NFL Seasonhere is Andrew’s master list.

Compared to my last few weeks of predictions, this week is MUCH better. It’s not that impressive and I am likely still several games behind Andrew, but is this the beginning of a comeback? Or is it just me treading water to stay semi-relevant with his picks? Let’s TAKE A GANDER!

Quick Look At NFL Week 8 Predictions

Here is my master list of predictions on the 2013 NFL Seasonhere is Andrew’s master list.

Since you likely don’t want to sift through the master list of predictions, I have posted them below! Let us know what you think of them, but remember that these predictions were made before the season began. Andrew and my prediction records aren’t the prettiest (well mine aren’t especially pretty), but we’re just under the ‘experts’ predicting games every week at ESPN. Andrew is actually tied with the ESPN Fan Pick’em, and has a better record than two of these ‘experts.’ Bravo.

My predictions are falling faster than an avalanche this week; at least it was just a few minor snowfalls the previous weeks, but this week may be the beginning of the end. Let’s check’er out, shall we?

Teams on their ‘Bye’ Week: New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders

WEEK 7

Thursday, Oct. 17

Seahawks @ Cardinals — 8:25 p.m. Cardinals 20 Seahawks 16

Monday, Oct. 21

Vikings @ Giants — 8:40 p.m. Vikings 20 Giants 13

Week 7 Record: 6-9

Season Record: 57-50

This is getting ugly fast, but this week technically wasn’t as bad as last week. I hope Andrew does at least as equally terrible, but it’s not likely at all by just glancing at his predictions. I’m still better than most ESPN analysts that predict the games a few days before they are played, not before the season begins.

Week 7 Record: 8-7

Season Record: 65-42

My record keeps on slippin’, slippin’, slippin’ compared to Andrew’s. I likely will lose the bet unless teams start to become aware of my predictions and adhere to them. Until next week my friends; well, until this Thursday, actually.

Another Take On Predicting The Entire 2013 NFL Season

Here is a different take on the entire 2013 NFL season, done by my friend Andrew. To give his perspective he is a Colts fan, so I hope that eases your understanding of his choices, and to understand some choices he made that were probably agonizing (picking the Patriots to win a single game I’d say is one of those choices).  Unlike the previous prediction post, Andrews is easier to see which team wins each game (it’s the team in bold incase you couldn’t tell). His provides more balance in win total than mine does as well.  It’s always good to see a comparison between predictions, not only because making predictions are awesome, but because it’s interesting to see if two minds come to the same conclusion without consulting one another – or if neither set of predictions is close to being correct.  Enjoy the predictions and comment below for any agreements, disagreements, or book signings.
